J. Chris Arnold formed United Companies, Inc. in 2005 to continue a 15-year history of real estate acquisition, development, construction and financing. Since 1994 Mr. Arnold, as Managing Member of various entities, has successfully completed the development of thousands of acres of real estate. Mr. Arnold, through his entities, has developed, independently and as a joint venture partner with other developers, builders and investors, numerous custom lot developments, commercial centers, retail centers and the 2,800 acre Master Planned Community of Las Sendas, which includes the Las Sendas Golf Course. Currently, United Companies, through its affiliate United Companies Development, is developing a 54,000 square foot office condominium project in Mesa, Arizona, a 176-unit apartment project in Queen Creek, Arizona, a 40-unit apartment project in Lake Charles, Louisiana, a seventeen acre site for commercial and industrial use located in Mesa, Arizona, twenty acres into seven 2.5 acre custom home sites in Mesa, Arizona and a fifty one acre multi-use site that will include 230,000 square feet of office space, 125,000 square feet of retail space, a three acre hotel site and twenty acres of multi-family residential that will contain 192 luxury villas, also located in Mesa, Arizona.
In addition to its current development projects, United Companies is involved in the real estate brokerage industry though its affiliate UCI Realty. During the past 8 years, UCI Realty and its predecessors ComCap Realty and United Marketing, have been involved in the purchase and sale of commercial, industrial, retail and residential real estate totaling hundreds of millions of dollars. UCI Realty currently has residential, commercial, industrial and retail real estate listings with sales values in excess of one hundred million dollars. UCI Realty is also involved in the corporate relocation industry through its affiliation with ComCap Relocation Services.
In addition to its real estate activities, United Companies also owns the nationally recognized Las Sendas Golf Course, which is the centerpiece of the Master Planned Community of Las Sendas. United Companies manages the day-to-day operations of the Las Sendas Golf Course and employs approximately 100 staff members to manage and maintain nationally acclaimed the Four and One-Half Star rated golf course.
United Companies is also involved in our community through its affiliations with Youth on the Rise Foundation, NX Level and Red Mountain Academy. These non-profit entities were created to raise and provide funds for our community's at-risk youth and underprivileged children in an effort to increase their life skills and future educational opportunities. To date, these entities have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars toward this effort.
